Safety is a key concern in everything we do. The safety consciousness within our organization is high, both during execution and assembly. Our high scores in the field of working safely on stations prove this. At the same time we realise that safety is an ongoing process. That is why we continuously work on further improving the safety awareness and behaviour of our employees.
We are certified according to the Safety Culture Ladder step 3 (Severfield De Haven) and step 2 (Severfield Steel Construction), EN1090, ISO-3834.2 and VCA. These certifications demonstrate that our employees comply with the standards for safety, health and the environment in the execution of their work. They dispose of a strong safety awareness from the engineering phase up to and including the assembly phase. As an organization we continuously work on further improving our employees’ awareness and behaviour in the field of safety.
Right from the preparatory phase of a project, we establish any potential risks affecting safety and the environment and we take steps to mitigate them. We have developed our own safety programme to increase the safety awareness of our employees. In our ‘Do you work safely?’ programme we have laid down our core values and rules of conduct for working safely.
