With us, you work with the latest techniques in varying project teams on high-end steel structures and Design & Build projects. For clients in non-residential building, industrial sectors, energy and, in the case of Design & Build, directly for the end user. From the drawing board to completion: we do everything in-house.
Since January 2023, Severfield Steel Construction Netherlands (Rijssen), Severfield De Haven (Maassluis) and Severfield Europe B.V. (Breda) have been part of Severfield plc. Severfield is the market leader in structural steel work in the United Kingdom. With six production sites in the UK, two in Europe and one in India we have an annual production capacity of 300,000 tonnes of steel.
We work together on the finest results for our customers, achieved by working collaboratively and placing trust in one another. We are mad about good ideas and rejoice in implementing them. Sometimes they don’t succeed, often they do. It is only by trying that you will make progress. We dare to stick our necks out and thus improve again every day. And our customers notice this. They sense the commitment which results in surprisingly fine results. We draw great pleasure and satisfaction from this.
We are proud of our people, their expertise, passion, commitment and entrepreneurialism. For the future, we will also need good specialists. We believe it is important that people get acquainted with our company and technology at a young age. This starts already in primary education where we are engaged in a project to get engineering into the classroom. We are also showcasing our company at vmbo, havo, vwo and subsequently mbo, hbo and wo levels [various levels of Dutch further/vocational/professional and university education]. Every six months we have several final-year students on site. They learn from us and we learn from them. A regular outcome is that they come to work with us later on. We are working on the future by getting bright young people interested in our sector and our company.
Quality, safety and sustainability are key concerns for us in everything we do. We strive constantly for improvement in these core areas. This is the only way we can consistently deliver the quality our customers expect, stand by our employees’ safety and ensure that our impact on the environment is as little as possible.
Quality
Our working method is from engineering to production characterised by a high level of automation and digitization. We are constantly looking for ways in which we can further improve our processes, so that our customers benefit from short lead times and optimal quality.
Safety
Already in the preliminary phase of a project we map out all the risks in the field of safety and environment and establish how we can control them. We have developed a programme for this ourselves: ‘Do you work safely?’.
Sustainability
We are convinced that sustainability creates value for our company and improves the efficiency of our work. It helps us to further develop the relationship with our clients and chain partners and to attract and retain talent.
