Severfield Europe combines many years’ experience in European steel construction with the expertise and capacity of the international Severfield Group. From our sites in the Netherlands, we work on a wide range of construction projects, supported by an international network of engineering expertise and production facilities. This combination gives us the knowledge, capacity and capability to deliver both local projects and large-scale, technically complex steel structures.
Severfield was founded in 1978 and has since been involved in a wide range of steel structures for buildings and infrastructure in the United Kingdom, Europe and India. This experience is brought together in our teams of engineers, project managers, production specialists and erection staff. The knowledge we have built up across various projects, sectors and disciplines helps us to approach new project challenges from both a technical and a practical perspective.
Not every project requires the same production capacity, expertise or project organisation. That is why we combine the capabilities of our European organisation with the broader capacity of the Severfield Group. With a combined annual production capacity of over 300,000 tonnes, our international production network offers the capacity to support large-scale steel packages and demanding project programmes. Depending on the scale, complexity and schedule of the project, capacity and expertise from various parts of the group can be utilised. This enables us to tailor our approach to the specific requirements of each project.
Capacity is about more than just the number of tonnes of steel we can process. Our production facilities combine specialised manufacturing technology with the knowledge and experience of our skilled workers to create a wide range of steel structures. From beams and columns to composite steel structures and complex structural components: our production facilities are equipped to manufacture various types of steelwork in accordance with the technical and quality requirements of the project. In doing so, we tailor the materials, detailing, welding, surface treatment and quality controls to the project specifications. With modern production technology, automated processes and meticulous quality controls, we have the capacity to produce both large quantities of steel and complex steel structures with specific requirements for production.
From our offices in the Netherlands, we work closely with our clients and on projects across mainland Europe. Each location brings its own expertise and capabilities to our European organisation. At the same time, we are part of an international group with engineering, manufacturing and construction expertise in the United Kingdom, Europe and India. This enables us to combine local market and project knowledge with the strength and specialist expertise of an international steel construction group.
Our capacity and experience are underpinned by certified processes for quality, safety and the environment. This ensures that our engineering, production and construction comply with relevant standards and project specifications.

From three locations in the Netherlands, we combine local market knowledge, engineering, manufacturing and project delivery expertise with the wider capabilities of the Severfield Group. Each location plays its own specific role within our European organisation.
Based in Rijssen, our teams work on steel structures for a wide range of construction projects across the Netherlands. Engineering, project management, production and construction all come together here, enabling different disciplines to collaborate closely throughout the project. The site supports both regional projects and larger steel construction projects, and forms an important base for our operations in the Netherlands and Europe.
Our site in Maassluis, situated in the heart of Rotterdam’s port and industrial area, has extensive experience with steel, stainless steel and aluminium structures for the energy and industrial sectors. From this site, our teams work on projects including energy infrastructure, industrial installations and process-related environments. These projects often place high demands on safety, accessibility, construction logistics, phasing and coordination with existing installations and business processes. Our teams are accustomed to working within these constraints and tailoring their execution accordingly.
Within Severfield Europe, Breda serves as a hub for larger and more complex projects across Europe. This location brings together expertise and project teams for projects where scale, technical complexity or international collaboration play a key role. In doing so, Breda can draw on the broader engineering and manufacturing capacity within Severfield in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. In this way, we combine local project knowledge with the scale and specialist expertise of the international Severfield Group.
