At the end of September, the final delivery will take place of a new distribution centre on business park Bavelse Berg near Breda. Commissioned by Systabo B.V., Voortman Steel Construction participated in the construction of the more than 40,000 m2 building, at a sight location next to the A27 motorway.
Voortman Steel Construction supplied and mounted the steel structure as well as the floors. The Voortman mounting team assembled the 18,000 tonnes steel structure within 15 weeks’ time.
The sustainable building is fully covered with solar panels and will receive the BREEAM certificate Very Good. Currently, the office space and the infrastructure around the building are being finished. Meanwhile, two units of the new distribution centre have already been rented out.
