Again, Voortman Steel Construction worked on an office building at Park 20│20 in Hoofddorp (NL), commissioned by IBB Kondor. The construction of multitenant building SHARE brings the number of buildings to eight. The building consists of offices and conference rooms and is provided with a double-layer parking garage.
SHARE was awarded a BREEAM-NL Excellent design certificate. BREEAM assesses the sustainability of a building based on nine categories. Since this assessment influences all stages of the construction all parties, from client up to end user, make their contribution. Voortman had to provide documentation on used materials and journey registration, among other things. The materials used for the building is a combination of high-tech and sustainable and the energy sources used are sustainable as well. Solar panels have been integrated in the atrium roof and the building makes use of a central heat/cold storage system.
The assembly team of Voortman Steel Construction not only mounted the four-layer steel structure of more than 589 tonnes, but also the precast hollow core slabs and the concrete stair components within the building. They recently finished their activities. The SHARE building is expected to be delivered in July 2020.
Park 20|20 combines sustainable designs and an ecological approach with a groundbreaking view to doing business, which focuses on human wellbeing. The result is an inspiring, healthy and productive work environment. Voortman Steel Construction co-constructed seven office buildings and a technical pavilion at Park 20│20.
