Together with our partner EZ Park we constructed the parking garage for Jumbo Supermarkets at their new distribution centre in Nieuwegein (NL). What it is that makes this parking garage so special? Its size. The garage has a capacity of 1,277 car parking places and 29 motor places, divided over 4 levels (ground floor and three levels).
Like all parking garages made by EZ Park, this one is also demountable and flexible. Thanks to the 4 metres storey height, the ground floor can be used as a parking facility for 160 distribution buses. Also the number of charging stations for electrical vehicles can easily be extended.
The activities of Voortman Steel Construction consisted of supplying and mounting the steel structure, the TT floor elements, the stairwells and fencing. Steel frames are provided for growing the facade with climbing plants. The parking garage is connected to the distribution centre by means of a footbridge.
EZ Park and Voortman Steel Construction build modular above-ground parking garages together. Since we do this with a permanent team, we are well organized and work together efficiently. The result is a fast development process and a short construction time.
