Last week, our assembly team completed its activities on yet another new distribution centre. Wijnen Bouw Someren commissioned us for the construction of this distribution centre consisting of two halls with offices, one of which has a ramp for a parking deck.
The main design of the building is by Wijnen Bouw Someren and we provided the detailed calculations. In the engineering phase, we took the needs of the future tenant into account where possible. Furthermore, our activities consisted of supplying and assembling the approximately 1,500 tonnes of steel structure (including conservation) and mounting the hollow-core concrete floors, both in the offices and above the dock shelters of hall 2. One of the two halls of the distribution center will be provided with a parking deck, for which we will install a ramp in June.
Since the distribution centre has a floor area of 36,000 square meters and the plot on which it will be built is 51,000 square meters, there is room to expand the new premises in the future. By mirroring the building, two more halls can be built. Anchors have already been placed at the rear of the building to prepare for this expansion.
