Milestone reached at Pultrum Rijssen BV’s new wash bay
At Pultrum Rijssen BV, Severfield has reached a significant milestone in the combined new-build and renovation project. The steel structure, the cladding and roofing, and subsequently the roof covering have now been completed. As a result, the project is taking shape and the outlines of the final result are becoming clearly visible.
Key construction phase completed
Pultrum Rijssen BV, Severfield’s long-standing logistics partner, wanted to both expand and modernise its facilities. For the construction of the new wash bay, Severfield Building Concepts Netherlands is managing the entire project, from design and engineering through to completion. At the same time, Severfield Steel Construction Netherlands is undertaking the renovation of the existing façades, replacing various façade elements and giving the building a fresh new look.
Through collaboration between various Severfield companies, the knowledge and expertise within the organisation are utilised to the full. This integrated approach ensures efficient delivery and the smooth running of both new-build and renovation projects.
Previous collaboration
This project follows on from a previous contract that Severfield carried out for Pultrum in the autumn of 2025. At that time, two new overhead doors were installed in the existing cold store, thereby improving access for lorries. The current new-build and renovation project marks a fitting continuation of this partnership.
Progress on site
Work on site is proceeding according to plan and the project is really starting to take shape. A few weeks ago, the steel structure of the new wash bay was successfully completed. The cladding for the façade and roof has now been installed and the roofing work has been completed, meaning that the exterior of the building is largely finished.
The focus is now on the final stages of the building’s construction. The ground floor slabs are currently being poured, following the installation of underfloor heating. The windows and doors will be fitted in mid-June, after which the final finishing and installation work will take place. The building is scheduled for handover at the end of this month.
