Amazon's 35,000 m2 logistics centre in Dortmund is one of the largest Amazon sites in Germany. The logistics centre, which is larger than seven football fields, accommodates more than 20 million items and is equipped with an automatic goods transport system.
Severfield has erected the new steel structure for a 5 metres high mezzanine in an existing concrete structure building. The steel structure was erected from the existing ground floor slab. On top of this steel structure, Severfield has installed 16,100 m2 of metal decking and provided handrailing and steel stairs. The project had a demanding delivery programme, but thanks to good collaboration within the Group between Severfield (NI), Severfield UK and Severfield Europe, we managed to deliver as planned.

Severfield is responsible for supplying and assembling the steel structure and steel plate concrete floors.
