The distribution centre A58 Logistics consists out of two buildings, with a total of approx. 43,000 m2 of warehouses, mezzanines and offices. The outdoor area provides 20 parking spaces for trucks and 374 parking spaces for passenger cars. Building A has 31 loading docks, while Building B has 10. The distribution centre was built according to BREEAM Very Good guidelines. Solar panels on the roof supply the buildings with energy and they are one of the reasons why the offices are All-Electric.
Severfield was contracted to fabricate and erect the structural steelwork and mount the hollow core slabs on the mezzanine floor. The steelwork is a column and beam structure, primer only. The main challenge on this project was the short lead-in time and demanding programme, but with the good cooperation and support from the UK, we managed to complete this project in time.
