Severfield is contributing to the modular refurbishment of the 150 kV high-voltage substation in Breda. The project is a collaboration between Croonwolter&dros and Mobilis, commissioned by TenneT, and is being carried out in close cooperation with other partners.
The 150 kV high-voltage substation in Breda is being modernised as part of TenneT’s Bay Replacement Programme. This programme replaces outdated high-voltage substations with standardised, modular installations that contribute to a reliable and future-proof electricity grid.
OUR ACTIVITIES
Commissioned by Croonwolter&dros, Severfield is supplying the steel structures for the new high-voltage substation, including the steel gantries. Thanks to precise engineering, production and logistical coordination, our structures fit seamlessly into the substation’s modular design.
MODULAR CONSTRUCTION
The Bay Replacement Programme utilises a standardised modular design, with as many components as possible being prefabricated. This approach reduces construction time on site, improves quality and minimises disruption to the local community and grid users.
