As part of the expansion of the Cargill site in Gouda, Severfield is constructing the steel structure for a new plant to produce FR3, a bio-based and sustainable alternative to mineral oil. Mourik Infra and Industriebouw are collaborating on the construction of this modern production facility.
Cargill is expanding its site in Gouda with a new production facility for FR3™ fluid. FR3 is a bio-based insulating fluid for transformers, produced from renewable raw materials and developed as a sustainable alternative to traditional mineral oil. The new plant increases production capacity and supports the growing demand for more sustainable energy solutions.
Our work
Severfield supplied and installed 177 tonnes of steel for the new production facility. Drawing on our experience with industrial construction projects and an efficient project approach, we ensured safe and reliable execution in collaboration with Mourik Industriebouw B.V.
A reliable partner for the process industry
With many years’ experience in the process industry, Severfield constructs steel structures for, amongst other things, process buildings, pipe bridges, skids and industrial installations. Thanks to our integrated approach, we offer clients a single point of contact throughout the entire project. This is also in line with Severfield’s positioning within the process industry.
