We participated in the construction of a new distribution centre of approximately 30,000 square meters at the Maasvlakte Distribution Park West in the port of Rotterdam, commissioned by Hercuton. Owner Busan Port Authority (BPA) uses the distribution center to provide logistics services to companies doing business between Europe and South Korea.
In order to obtain the BREEAM Outstanding certificate, the building is equipped with water pumps, charging stations, energy-efficient lighting and water-saving facilities. Furthermore, the distribution center is gas-free and energy neutral. Environmental measures have been taken around the building to stimulate biodiversity.
