At the Bijsterhuizen business park between Nijmegen and Wijchen, we participated in the construction of a sustainable distribution centre, commissioned by Heembouw. DC Norma Bijsterhuizen received the BREEAM score Very Good after completion.
The latest techniques in the field of energy consumption and water consumption have been applied in the building. For example, a part of the energy generated by the solar panels on the roof of the building is applied directly in the warehouse. The rest is returned to the environment.
With a surface area of more than 35,000 square meters, about seven football fields, the building is very suitable for the storage of bulk goods. On behalf of Heembouw, we supplied and installed the extensive steel structure of more than 1,500 tonnes and the cladding.
