Commissioned by IBB Kondor, we contributed to the transformation of the former tax office De Generaal in Rijswijk into a residential building. The sustainable building contains 200 apartments, divided over 17 floors. We supplied 460 tonnes of steel for this project.
Construction took place at a tiny site near a shopping center, with limited crane space. That is why the crane was placed on the roof of the building on a steel base, which we engineered and produced.
The facade line of the building was placed outwards compared to the old facade. After removing the existing facade, our assembly team placed the steel structure. For the floors on the long side of the building, we supplied pre-assembled frames, which we hoisted and fixed in place on site. The concrete was then poured on top of this, after which the new facade was placed.
