For the automated container terminal of logistics service provider Lineage (formerly Kloosterboer Vlissingen B.V.), we supplied and installed 30 reefer racks and 38 safety tunnels. Under a Design & Build contract, we were responsible for the structural design, production, and full installation.
A reefer is a refrigerated shipping container used to transport temperature-controlled goods. Reefer racks provide structured and efficient storage in port environments, ensuring containers remain easily accessible during operations. Reefer safety tunnels offer protected access routes, enabling terminal personnel to safely inspect, monitor, and service the containers.
A distinctive feature of this container terminal is its extensive reefer capacity: a total of 1,020 reefer containers can be connected to power simultaneously. Container Terminal Vlissingen handles approximately 250,000 TEU annually.
